Security Deposit Option

Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF) does not require a security deposit on new leases, but you may have the option to apply a security deposit to lower your monthly payments.Ā  Sometimes you hear this called "MSDs" or "Multiple Security Deposit".

How does it work?
It's money you put down to lower the interest on your lease.Ā  Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF)Ā holds your deposit which lowers their risk and in turn they lower your payments.Ā  After you return the lease your deposit is refunded from Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF).Ā

How do I know I'll get my security deposit back?Ā

Your refundable security deposit is itemized separately on your lease contract.Ā  The only time SET would use your security deposit would be if you didn't pay your lease agreement.Ā  After your return the lease your deposit is refunded from Southeast Toyota Finance (SETF).Ā

Why don't all leases qualify?
Some leases don't have any interest rate (money factor) and therefore nothing to reduce.Ā  Interest (money factor) varies by model, trim, and by month so just ask if you would like to know if a refundable security deposit option is available to you.I have great credit.Ā

Why should I put a security deposit?Ā

Most customers with great credit take advantage of a refundable security deposit because it saves you money over the term of your lease.
